Part I of Essay
The instruction I will be providing are for the Bucket Method for
developing motion picture film. Primarily it is used to develop Super 8mm
and 16mm film. This recipe is stolen and reworked from those directions
provided by Alex Mackenzie, who regularly runs workshops on ha .... Part II of Essay .... blemishes, as they give life and movement to your film.
I would only recommend the bucket method for Super 8mm, as 16mm is much
harder to work with in a bucket. It is thicker and will scratch more, and
needs more chemicals since you are working with double the amount of film.
What you need is: A bucket, a pair of gloves, and a dark room. The
dark room can be a bathroom with all the windows taped up. Light leaks in a
room can totally destroy film, giving it a foggy appearance, thus making it
foggy in the audiences mind also.You also need ....
