The speaker of the poem needs to continue on his journey but the peacefulness of the snowy woods prolongs his departure. My intention with this essay is to show the contrast between the speakers desire to observe the snowy woods and his obli .... Part II of Essay .... were voiced through his horse. Yet, he made no attempt to leave the woods immediately. We learn that the speaker's character is similar to the tone of the poem. For instance, the topic of the poem is about a snowy evening in the woods, which could be viewed as pleasant and easy going as oppose to a hot summer evening in the city which is most often busy and frantic with lots of things to do.
