.... later, Marco Polo was caught and put in a prison in Genoa. There, he and his Russian friend, Rustichello wrote Divisament dou Monde, a book about his travels, especially China. He died when he was around 70 years old in 1324. Marco Polo's father and uncle, Nicolò and Maffeo, were very influential to him. They themselves were explorers and they were the ones who had brought him to China and other countries in Asia. They visited and traded a lot, therefore he was more open to other people in the world.
