“Do you have dreams?” one may be asked once in their lifetime. The main character of “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jay Gatsby, can be seen as a doomed romantic idealist by the dreams he created a .... Part II of Essay .... is his sense of hope. He hoped for a life with Daisy and to live a life full of money. In the book, Nick, the narrator, states that Gatsby possesses “ some heightened sensitivity to the promises of life” (6).
